Text to Tabletop is completely system-agnostic. The maps work with any tabletop RPG that uses battle maps or grid-based play, including Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Shadowrun, MORK BORG, and any other TTRPG system. The configurable grid ensures compatibility regardless of the rules you play with.
Yes. Text to Tabletop allows you to regenerate specific areas of a map without starting over. If you love the layout but want to change one section — swap a room, adjust terrain, or add details — you can select that area and regenerate just that part while keeping the rest of your map intact.
Maps are generated at 1024×768 resolution with an auto-aligned grid overlay. This makes them suitable for use on screen in virtual tabletop platforms as well as for printing at standard tabletop map sizes.
Yes. You can export your generated maps as image files and import them into any VTT platform that supports image-based maps, including Roll20, Foundry VTT, Owlbear Rodeo, Fantasy Grounds, and others.
Yes. Maps you generate with Text to Tabletop are yours to use however you like, including in commercial products such as published adventures, map packs, or content you sell on platforms like DriveThruRPG or itch.io.
Text to Tabletop uses a token-based system. You can purchase tokens as one-time packs (10 tokens for $5, 25 tokens for $10, or 60 tokens for $20) or subscribe to the Pro Plan at $10/month for 50 tokens. Each map generation uses tokens, so you only pay for what you create.
Text to Tabletop is currently in beta. While we do not offer free generations at this time, we plan to introduce a limited number of free generations in the future so new users can try the tool before purchasing.
